Why They're On Top

1. Stanford
Stanford is the fourth best school in the nation, according to U.S. News. And Lady Cardinal tennis players know how to kill a ball. In 2007, they suffered their lowest rank in the past three years—number two.
2. Florida
Florida’s team boasts a perfect APR, which means that every athlete on their team has remained eligible in the past three years. In 2007, the Gators slipped to sixth in the national rankings, after coming in second in both ’05 and ’06.
3. UCLA
In 2007, the Lady Bruins achieved a number three national ranking. UCLA is a force in virtually every sport, fielding a top-25 team in 14 of the 21 sports considered for these rankings.
