Why They're On Top

1. Stanford
Most significant about the Lady Cardinal— besides their routine success at the NCAA Championships— is a perfect APR. Every swimmer on the team maintains an acceptable GPA, which is remarkable given Stanford’s rigorous academic standards.
2. Georgia
The Lady Bulldogs swam their way to a National Championship in 2005, second place the next year and a top-10 ranking in ’07. With an excellent APR and a strong U.S. News ranking, Georgia should be a stop on any swimmer’s college visit itinerary.
3. California
U.S. News ranks California number one among state universities, 21st overall. Their women’s swim team has impressed at the NCAA tournament, finishing eighth, fourth and third, respectively, in the past three years.
