Why They're On Top

1. USC
It’s no surprise that USC heads up our list. The Trojans recently racked up back-to-back National Championships and were ranked in the top five in each of the last three seasons, losing only three games during that span. Throw in the fact that they’re numb
2. Texas
An undefeated season and the National Championship in 2005 were the main drivers for the Longhorns, but not enough to edge out USC. Nevertheless, having 13 top-25 teams in major sports creates an overall athletic atmosphere that can’t be beat. U.S. News
3. Florida
An APR of 961 helped propel the Gators into our top three, along with last year’s National Championship and 13-1 record. The Gators also had 11 major sports teams appear in the top 25, making post-season celebrations in Gainesville a regular occurrence.
